This is the first edition of Christoph Schimpke's Partita in B-Flat major ever to be printed. The manuscript which provided the source material is held by the Wroclaw University Library. A classical partita, it is made up of four parts, all of which sustain a light, serene mood. The solo line is taken by two clarinets, while the remaining instruments alternate in creating a harmonic accompaniment or introduce independent melodic lines. The score is supplemented by an editorial commentary on each of the parts. The suite can be performed by both intermediate instrumentalists and professional musician
