“Corindon, Empereur de Coriandre is a piece by Claude-Henry Joubert for Bb or C Trumpet and Piano accompaniment. Written for upper beginners, it lasts for two minutes and corresponds to the story of the Emperor Corridon. It is divided into three main different sections: 1. The Arrival of the Emperor, which is fairly imposing, including a lyrical part on the Empress Angelique, 2. The Battle, with more stressful music, 3. The Victory of the Emperor, with the final kiss, and a grandiose and harmonious final by the Horse Guard. This great work features the perfect elements to pass the contest at the upper level. Claude-Henry Joubert (born in 1948) is a Viola player, a composer. He has also been a professor of Viola and Medieval literature and the Director of Orléans Conservatoire.”
