His new Lorca opera, Bernada Albas Haus is both a psychological case study and a dramaturgic compositional study: there are only female voices in different tessituras, instrumentally contrasted with soloistic wind instruments, twelve cellos within the string section and - instead of percussion - four grand pianos, partly prepared.
