Oklahoma Heritage captures the colorful qualities of this unique state. Each of the four movements depicts a musical portrait of Oklahoma's diverse landscapes and fascinating people. Experience the exhilaration of the original "Oklahoma Land Run!" in a dramatic toccata featuring intervals of a fourth and fifth. The rich, colorful clay of portions of the state inspired "Scenes of Red Earth," an evocative piece which passes through several different keys on its musical journey. "Flight O'er the Wichitas" soars over the ancient Wichita Mountains as a lyrical melody gently unfolds. The historic football tradition of the state is celebrated with "Bedlam Bash," a rousing medley of two famous fight songs, "Boomer Sooner!" and "Ride 'em Cowboys!" This truly exciting piece provides a marvelous closing to the musical tour of Oklahoma. Late Intermediate (UK Exam Grades 4-5).
