This 3-part work for one or more performers or movable entities entails a silent realisation. While the means of performance is free, as indicated by the subtitle, the rhythm is precisely stipulated; there is a part with quick isolated gestures, another with slow flowing movements and finally one which the composer has named “frozen gesture” characterised by a firm rhythm with stationary ‘frozen’ movements. Instead of sound one experiences a process of visualised musical form. The title refers to the various nuances of meaning which the sound of “O” encapsulates and which, as we all know, depends on the gestural context.
