Pohjannoro scored success with this work at the international Henri Dutilleux composition competition in 2017. Of this work, the composer says: “images, hommages is a series of miniature tributes to a number of artists whose works have had a profound effect on me – though, naturally, many other artists could have been included too.” Each musician of the quintet will need their own copy of the performances score.
