Instrumental Classmates™ is an entertaining, educational, musical adventure. This DVD series has been designed to assist educators in introducing children to music and the key instruments in each of the musical instrument families. Instrumental Classmates will expose students to orchestras, marching bands, jazz ensembles, and yes, even a jammin' rock band! But more important, Instrumental Classmates will capture students' imaginations and inspire them to pick up a musical instrument and learn to play. In each program, our host P.J. introduces members of the individual instrument families, often performing practical and easy-to-understand demonstrations of how the instruments work. P.J. also gives a brief history of the instrument itself, and demonstrations are reinforced with on-screen graphics called "Brain Blasts." This set includes five DVDs, each approximately 30 minutes in duration, a downloadable/printable PDF which includes supplemental learning materials, and a Spanish-language option.
