Students will enjoy the beautiful and serene sounds of this solo as teachers celebrate all of its wonderful teaching points. Although it is written in C major, different major and minor 5-finger patterns are used to create interesting harmonies. Students move around the keyboard using these patterns, making this an excellent piece for developing freedom in motion. The moderate tempo and 4/4 meter aid in keeping this motion moving forward. An added bonus is the development of balance between the hands in the B section with the melody in the LH and blocked chords in the RH.
