The A section features a left-hand descending waltz bass line with a sequential right-hand melodic line reminiscent of butterflies fluttering in the garden. The B section offers a nice contrast with a slightly faster tempo and change of key from F major to A minor. The A section returns in the key of C making this piece a good study of major and relative minor keys.
