The Night's Untruth Vocal Score SATB and Piano Accompaniment

Tarik O'ReganのThe Night's Untruth for SATB chorus, brass ensemble and organ is a co-commission celebrating the 10th anniversary of JAM (The John Armitage Memorial Trust) and the 40th anniversary of VocalEssence.

'The Night's Untruth explores the use of sleep as metaphor by dint of the excerps from the poems written in the 17th to 20th centuries.死、愛、恐怖、恍惚、孤独、夢想、休息はすべて、睡眠をテーマにしたテクストのバリエーションであり、選ばれたテクストの中に見出すことができる。作品のタイトルは、サミュエル・ダニエル（1562-1619）の詩の一節から取られたもので、起きている間に経験するものと平行した、おそらくはディストピア的な存在としての睡眠に焦点を当てた作品であることを物語っている。- タリック・オレガン、2010年3月
