Likewise, his Rondo op. 5, which incorporates the exotic sounds of Polish folk music, and the brilliant work in C major op. 73were also written during his time in Warsaw. Without a doubt the young composer, who was the darling of the Warsaw salons, wrote these works as showpieces for himself. Here, and also with the Rondo op. 16, his mark is unmistakable.
