The second movement, "Stars Over the Rimrocks," highlights the magical night view from the mountains when the twinkling lights of the city appear to meet the starlit sky. The suite is completed with "Rimrock Rag," a rousing ragtime piece that captures the energy of the wildlife and foliage of the area.
