The audience and the performer are both in for a wild ride with this solo, whose title and tempo marking are one in the same. Written in A minor and 12/8 meter, it features broken chords in each hand with the left hand crossing over to play the melody note in each measure. Blocking the chords as a practice step will aid in memorization. The sweeping nature of the piece is such that it will work at the recommended tempo or even slightly slower. It builds to a powerful ending and then ends quietly in the last three measures. This piece is sure to be a student favorite.
