Within just a few weeksbetween the 22nd of August and the 14th of September 1741 one of the most famous pieces not only of G.F. Handel, but in the history of western Music was composed: the oratorio "The Messiash" for four soloists, choir and orchestra. The first Performance on the 13th of April 1742 in Dublin did, according to the press, deeply move the public, and this has not changed until the present day.
