This composition consists of seven movements all of which have programmatic subtitles. Apart from its interesting harmonic and rhythmic structure, it also offers possibilites for improvisation. It was composed as a complement to the oboe tutor Oboe lernen (ZM 80261) in order to provide some intermediate-level performance literature for 2 oboes.
