In two movements full of motion and intimacy, andante con moto and presto, the composer Norbert von Hannenheim, a master student of Schoenberg, explores the tonal space of the two instruments viola and piano. Influenced by the technique of his famous teacher, he expresses his own highly condensed musical vision.
